Description
English: A female polar bear (Ursus maritimus) and its cub on dense drift ice in Hinlopen strait, Svalbard. Both, mother and cub look well-fed and healthy since they obviously succeded reaching the northern drift ice in spring in due time. Here the mother is urging the young one to jump into the water.
Deutsch: Ein Eisbärweibchen (Ursus maritimus) mit Jungtier im dichten Treibeis der Hinlopenstraße, Spitzbergen. Diesem Muttertier gelang die rechtzeitige Wanderung von der Bruthöhle auf Spitzbergen ins dichte Treibeis und Packeis. Beide Tiere sind durch ausreichendes Nahrungsangebot gut genährt und gesund. Hier drängt das Muttertier das Junge zu einem Sprung ins Wasser.
Polski: Samica niedźwiedzia polarnego (Ursus maritimus) z młodym na dryfującym lodzie w cieśninie Hinlopen w Svalbardzie. Zarówno matka jak i młode wyglądaja na dobrze odżywione i zdrowe, ponieważ wiosną w odpowiednim czasie zapewne udało się im dostać na dryfujący lód na północy. Na zdjęciu matka ponagla młode, aby wskoczyło do wody.

Čeština: Foto k Mezinárodnímu dni životního prostředí (5. června) - Polární medvědice (Ursus maritimus) s mládětem na tenké ledové kře v průlivu Hinlopen Strait na Špicberkách. Oba jsou zdraví a dobře živeni, protože se jim podařilo využít severního ledového pohybu ledu a cestovat tak za vydatnými zdroji potravy během léta. Matka zde pobízí mládě ke skoku do vody.
