If you’re trying to lose weight, don’t follow these worst diet tips ever!
Ming the Clam
Ming was a Quahog Clam who lived an extremely long life — which was sadly cut short in the name of science. At 507 years of age this clam was the oldest individual animal to have had its age accurately determined. It was found off the northern coast of Iceland by researchers studying climate change.
Want the key to immortal life? Some scientists believe the secret may lie with the Immortal Jellyfish — otherwise known as Turritopsis dohrnii. This jellyfish makes its home in the Mediterranean Sea and the waters of Japan. It’s the only known animal that has the ability to revert back to an immature state.
The Immortal Jellyfish changes back to a more juvenile form when it’s stressed — either by its environment, or because it’s being attacked. It then reverts back to a polyp stage, and forms a new polyp colony. Jellyfish bud off from the polyp colony and transition to their free-swimming form. In theory, this cycle could go on indefinitely — making the jellyfish immortal… Unless it succumbs to disease or gets eaten in the meantime!

Cut Too Many Calories
It is pretty easy for dieters to think that the more calories they cut the faster they will lose weight and that is right, up to a point. The problem is that once you cut too many calories you body begins to think it is starving to death and your metabolism slows down and you don’t want that! So never cut your calories more than 1,200 a day for women and 1,800 for men. You may need more if you are exercising a lot.
One of the worst diet tips is to skip breakfast in order to save calories for later. Not only does this mean your body doesn’t get revved up in the morning to begin burning calories but then you are usually so hungry by the time lunch and dinner roll around that you usually overeat, way more than the amount of calories you “saved”. Multiple studies have shown that those who eat breakfast are more successful at losing weight.
Make the most out of your trip to Disney World by following these awesome tips and tricks!
Purchase Disney Dollars, an in park form of currency, as a way to budget yourself and your kids while visiting the park! Not only are they fun, but they count as a purchase when bought at the ATM and not a cash advance so you avoid pesky ATM fees.
Cheaper Character Meals
Eating a meal with a Disney character is one of the most highly sought after prizes in the park. In fact, if you want your little princess to eat dinner with Cinderella, you have to call exactly 180 days in advance at 7am Orlando time. If you are a little more flexible, cheaper and easier meals can be had just outside the Disney gates at one of the many Disney Resorts instead. Try booking a meal at Chef Mickey’s, Supercalifragilistic Breakfast or ‘Ohana Character Breakfast.
